Hi,

My ultimate goal is to use a single machine (not connected to a network) as a domain controller.

The machine has a clean install of W2K Server and a SIS 900-based PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter (not configured).

Is it possible to configure this network card to run on a single machine and then install DNS, Active Directory and the Domain Controller?

Thanks
Jon

I'm afraid i don't follow your question.
If you don't want to have your server on any network, you don't need to configure the network adapter.

I was led to believe that I needed configure the network adapter in order to set the machine up as a domain controller.

If I can set up the domain controller without doing this then that will be great.

I need a machine set up as a domain controller to work through some SQL Server workshops.

Do you know how I can do this?

Thanks
Jon
