Ok guys, I have a DLS connection, a NETOPIA 3360 cable modem, a Linksys wireless router and 4 pcs connected to the router.. I am using private IPs in the 10.x.x.x range... I have a block of static IPs from my ISP which I am not using right now... I would like to know how to configure the Linksys to do NATting. To use myy private IPs on my LAN but be able to access my machines from the outside by RDP.. Thanks

Remote Desktop uses TCP port 3389. In the Linksys router's port forwarding page, forward TCP 3389 to one of the PC's private 10.x.x.x addresses. Then from outside your network, use the RD client to connect to whatever public IP address the router is using.

If you want to RD into multiple machines without reconfiguring the router, you'll need to set each RD system to listen on different ports & configure the router accordingly. thread916-1205175

You did not mention what model the wireless router is. Some have limited NATing and routing capabilities.

Also what is a DLS connection?? Some new protocol?
