Configure my Cisco 678

Hi, How can i configure my router (cisco 678)
so when i do a telnet session it ask me for the password, because i'm trying to do that but the only the routers ask me is the password, and then i'm in!!

What can i do? what password can I used it?

Hello.

Take a look at the URL below, it shows how to setup
exec and enable password ( the Cisco 675 and 678 use the
same command's).


Complete documentation at


You should set exec password and enable password for
proper security.


Note: The Cisco 678 uses an operating software called CBOS.
The command's listed below will not work because they are for an Cisco IOS Router, so the Cisco 678 will not understand the command's

line vty 0 4
login
password ( password )
