I am trying to configure the class of service on a Startalk 180. I am aware that on the larger Startalk systems this is possible but the option is not currently available on my system - the administration menu looks like this:

******************************************************************
Nortel Top-Level ST 180 Release 1.4.00
*******************************************************************

0 Exit
1 Mailbox Admin
2 Group List Admin
3 System Admin and Configuration
4 Reports

Option 3 (System Admin and Configuration) sub menu is

System Admin and Configuration

1 DTMF delay
2 Allow/Disallow Multiple System Admin

..and that is it!!

So I am wondering whether there is a firmware update for later software release that will give me the additional functionality to change the class of service parameters.

Can anyone help?

You have to go into the TOP Level Menu, then item 3. Class of Service Admin.

I don't feel that all of the details should be posted on a forum.

Thanks for the reply but as stated in my original post option 3 gets me to a very limited submenu

Option 3 submenu - System Admin and Configuration

1 DTMF delay
2 Allow/Disallow Multiple System Admin

Because you are not at the right TOP Menu.

The current top level is as follows:

******************************************************************
Nortel Top-Level ST 180 Release 1.4.00
*******************************************************************

0 Exit
1 Mailbox Admin
2 Group List Admin
3 System Admin and Configuration
4 Reports

Are you telling me that if I were to enter the system with a different password I would be able to access a menu at an even higher level??

...and do you know where I might be able to obtain this password?

I think you are on a wind up my friend - but thanks anyway
