Configure button - send to voicemail MLX-16DP 1

Besides changing the ringtone for the user of a MLX-16DP phone, I was asked to configure one of the line buttons so that, when someone calls and asks for the president, her admin assistant can simply send the caller to her voicemail (if appropriate) by pressing a button programmed to this effect.

In other words, transfer the caller directly to the person's voicemail.

Also, I was asked to program a line button so it lights up when the extension is occupied.

I've been reading the "Merlin Legend Communications System" manual but either the necessary information is not in this manual or... I've managed to miss it.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Program a button for "Auto Dial Inside" for the president's extension number. Feature 00, press the button you want to program, *22, the extension number, press the "Enter" button on the right side of the display. Feature *00 to exit.

Now the light shows when the extension is busy. The button CALLS the extension.

Add a "Direct to Voice Mail" button as well. Feature 00, press the button you want to program, dial *56, Feature *00 to exit.

Now, while on a call, press Direct to Voice Mail, then press the President's button, and the call will go to voice mail instead of ringing the phone.
