Configure Arcserve Backup Job

Hello:

We're using arcserve r12 to do monthly backups to tape. Is there a way (maybe a preflight script?) to configure the backup job to only backup files with last change date < 2 years?

I'm not sure if you can do exactly that, but you could use incremental so after the first backup it would only backup files that have changed or have been created since the last backup. This may make your initial backup large but all others rather small.

We are using 11.5 but I would assume 12 has the same. There are job level filters that you can set up that should accomodate your needs.
