I have 2 Exchange 2010 servers and have implemented Symantec Backup Exec 2010 for backing up the DAG.
I now want to configure a seperate backup network which will connect 1 Exchange node and the Symantec media server. The DAG should be accessible over the 2nd network as well for Symantec to backup.
I enable the backup network on the 2 server and connected using a cross cable and have unchecked "Register this connection address in DNS .
Both the servers are able to ping to each other but when i schedule a backup job to run using the 2nd network the job fails with a message "The media server could not connect to the remote computer. The remote computer may not exist on the selected subnet. "
Any thoughts on what i could be missing.
