Hi all,
I hope someone can help, as I'm slowly going insane. It's most likely a simple solution, but cant find an explanatory answer anywhere.
Goal:
To have sharepoint services v3 running on a server that is NOT part of the local domain, but in the same segment as the PDC. To have local users automatically authenticated when they are logged onto the domain, and prompted for authentication if external to the network, or not on the domain.
The sharpoint site will have a host header that is completely different from the local domain name.
I have tried several different configurations from various articles on the net, but to no avail. I'm not sure if its because the host header of the sharepoint site is different to that of the domain, so users arent authenticated?
Ideally, i would like a step-by-step, or bullet points giving me a check list to success!
Many thanks in advance,
Ben Benson.
