Has anyone used this?

I understand it can be used only on a new installation and saves loads of time by uploading CSV templates etc.

I can't find this software anywhere

??

I think you need to order it from Mitel now, not sure if it is free. Depending on the size of your PBX it might not be worth all the hassle. It is basically a stripped version of OPSMan.

Thanks Mitelman,

I could buy a dongle and use this for all new installs but
i think it is licenced to the 3300.

Is there another way to create user templates from a CSV and import them into the system?

Not that I'm aware.

Here's something from the Release Notes for ver 1.5.2 of the Config Tool. It states, in part: (quoting here)

"NOTE: This tool is meant to be used ONCE only, at initial system installation. It is not meant for adding users to an already-configured system.
• Ensure that the Config Tool system has a blank database before each use.
• Ensure that a database reset is executed from the Config Tool prior to a new system database installation."

As far as getting your hands on the software, I've never seen it on Mitel On Line (MOL). The only place I've ever found it, was in the box with a brand new system.

And yes, it does appear to be a software-throttled version of OpsMan. And if Mitel says to use it ONCE only, at initial system installation, then there's probably a very good reason for that.
