Configuration show Difference

Hi to all,

I am seeting up VPN.
I uploaded the new configuration to a cisco pix 515 using tftp.

then I view the configuration using "show configure".
The configuration is still the same as before!!??

but when I use "show access-list", the access list is different from the "show config".

Using "show crypto", I see the cypto config but not in the "show configure"

etc....

Why is it so....Is the vpn up?? Do I need to restart the PIX for the VPN to accept the new configuration?

Try using 'write terminal' instead of 'show config' to view the configuration. Using show config wont show up any changes until you've saved the config.
