Hi All,
We installed a new 9131-52A and after connecting SAN,the errpt is showing these errors.
1FB4FD21 1109100406 I S fscsi1 CONFIGURATION MISMATCH
1FB4FD21 1109100406 I S fscsi0 CONFIGURATION MISMATCH
1FB4FD21 1109040006 I S fscsi1 CONFIGURATION MISMATCH
1FB4FD21 1109040006 I S fscsi0 CONFIGURATION MISMATCH

did anyone come across these errors before?

Thanks
Ray

can't find that identifier, can you post the errpt -a to give us a clue.

What type of HBA (e.g., qlogic, emulex)?

What driver are they using?

What VRMF of AIX?

What type of disks (e.g., Symmetrix, CLARiiON, ESS)?

Any other AIX servers with these HBAs connected to the SAN and these disks?

I've seen that error before. Are you running HDLM? If so, are you using Dynamic Tracking and fast_fail recovery policy? While I've seen this work with MPIO and PowerPath, I haven't seen it work with HDLM. I had to disable Dynamic Tracking to eliminate the errors.

Also I was at an "IBM System p5 Technical User Briefing" recently and they said that most disk subsystems support Dynamic Tracking and they encourage it's use. If it doesn't work though, they said that there will be a couple of errors on boot (config mismatch). You'll still be able to connect up, just not use Dynamic Tracking.

On the other hand, if you're not in this boat. You could check to make sure you're set with consistant pt2pt or
al link flags.
