Configuration issues w/BCM400 3.7 1

I have a system I'm configuring for a customer.
(2)DSM16+ on bus 2
(6)GATM8s using busses 3 thru 5
(2)DTMs using bus 6 & 7

There are 10 7316E phones split between the 2 DSM16s, each phone has 2 KIMS.

The second DSM16 set to offset 1 only recognizes 1 KIM and ignores the second one.
If I pull out the DTM on bus 7 and set the second DSM to 7 instead it works fine but then I have no resource for the second DTM.

In theory the settings should work so what am I missing?

0 and 1 are the only available offsets for a DSM16+.

0 & 1 are for the 1st half of the BUS and 2 & 3 are for the 2nd half of the BUS.

So do as Deweyhumbolt said to do and it will work.

I did. Here's the settings I used:
1st DSM16+ = 100000
2nd DSM16+ = 110000

This caused all phones on both modules to reinitialize and never come back up.

According to everything I can find the setting for the second module should be: 101000

The phones work fine set this way, there's no resource conflict. The problem is that the second DSM only recognizes 1 KIM on the phone when there are 2 KIMs attached.
I tried taking all but two phones off the system to make sure it wasn't some weird KIM limitation besides the 12 phone limit. It still doesn't work.

Hi!

I am new here as of a few minutes ago. I am neither a user nor a vendor. What I am is a guy with my buddy on the road in Cali who has due in very short order his installation time line portion of his proposal for installing an pair of BCM-400 talking to each other. (it is for a Co. woth two real estate office in two different sites)I am in FL but he is stuck in between installs of two department store secrurity systems nad asked me to throw together his "Time line" so he can get it emailed in time. I have bought and Sold everything from simple Meridian KSU all the way up to DMS 500 but I couldn't write what he is asking on a prayer. Sales men sell, we do not install. But this here is me taking a shot hoping for some dialog so I can BS my way through bailing him out because he is over due. And I am trying to throw a one page description for him.... He is always called Ray Ray and as soon as he get's in Off the road he will be joining this group.

I am always called Teknon but you already have one of us here SO I had to call myself teknon01 any suggestions PULLEEESE I don't want him to loose the install.

Cool guys!

Thanks. 1) I really hadn't a clue what or where to get started. 2) All Salemen know how to do is BS.. We are story tellers not technicians.. We keep you guys in beans and bacon. Without us your trucks don't roll. 3) I was looking for a bit of guidence and got it. For that I am appreciative. 4) It will be a short learning curve for me thanks to your advice. 5) Ray Ray is joining later on today as it is 6am out there in Cali. and I will be sure to tell him how helpful, compassionate, understanding and willing to render your wisdom and how nice you all are.

u keep us in beans n bacon? ur proof that if u can sell a box anybody can but not anybody can install them. A good tech. is alot more valuble then a salesman I think many would agree on that...

When I had just the (Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.) I got 3 nasty replys from people I was trying to help, so I added (This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.) and would you be I got 2 more nasty replys,m so I added the 3rd part. You just can't make some people happy, you give them a Gold bar and they bitch because you didn't give them 2.

What lead me to put that Analogy as my Signature was one person said he didn't get any dialtone when a accessed his trunks and he said he changed the trunk card twice and them made a bunch of programming changes and it still wouldn't work. I asked did he use a Buttset to check if the trunk had dialtone and what do you think the answer was? No it didn't have dialtone. So always check the easy things first it saves alot of time and money.
