HI All,

Am having some problems when am using 2 NIC s in Windows XP.

Network 1(LAN)
IP :192.168.12.51
MASK :255.255.254.0
GATEWAY: 192.168.12.1

Network 2(Internet) DHCP enabled
IP :192.168.1.x
Mask : 255.255.255.0
Gateway : 192.168.1.1

I need to use both connection in the same time. Now i can use only one at a time. Please advice me what are the configurations i need to make in windows xp to make it work.

If the .12. subnet is the one that goes to the internet it should have a default gateway, if not delete it.

If the .1. subnet is the one that goes to the internet it should have a default gateway, if not delete it.

I have no clue how to make both go to the internet, So far as I know you need a Dual WAN router for that.

I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.

You can not use both for internet unless you have two separate connections and routers. What are you trying to accomplish?

i think it will work after adding some static route between these nics.I dont know the correct procedure. Can anybody advice me how can i make it working

i have two connection one is Internet and other is Intranet.I need to Make the pc as a remote pc.When i access that pc remotly i need to use the intranet.

Lan 1 is intranet and Lan 2 is internet

have a look at the route command (in dos box type route /?)
i.e
route -p ADD 192.168.12.0 MASK 255.255.254.0 192.168.12.1
