I have a small magix that will be networked with a larger magix. Currently is a partner in place at the small loc. They will not have ony local dialtone or receptionist. I plan to reuse the sets. Does anybody see any issues with a magix that has only ETR cards? (other than recomending against no local dial tone - been through it with the client and it's their final decision)

Thanks

I'm wondering if you still need to have an operator's console. Slot 1 Port 1 by default is an operator position and the system programming port. Operators and SProgram stations can be moved around to some extent, but I'm not sure you won't have a problem with Slot 1 Port 1 as an ETR.
I know when using 412TDL and 024TDL cards, at least your first operator must be a 4424LD.

It will work just fine without any "real" operator console. Calls to "0" on SA buttons will go to the lowest logical ID, which in this case is an ETR set.

If you have TDL cards, you must set ID#01 as an operator extension; you cannot remove it (been down this road before); If there are no "eligable" operator ports, it becomes a non-issue.

TTT, I have this configured already, if you dial 0, you will get a reorder tone, because there is no console. I just checked this out to confirm at our work bench.

You're right, what I was remembering was transfers across the network that failed (because we forgot to set the reliable disconnect at first) were going to the first station by default. We were going nuts until we remembered the disconnect setting must be ON even though the calls are going across the T1.

I intend to have the customer sign a waiver that they are fully liable (not me) and understand what they have asked me to program. Technically the system does work fine with a single ETR board and a t1 card.

By the way the client is the fire department, if it makes you feel better.
