I know this is a vague question, but could someone point me to some sort of documentation online or something that would give me general guidance on how to configure a new T1 PTP line between 2 buildings? I have 2 G3si PBXs. I'm looking for general steps like:
1. Install DS1 boards
2. Configure trunks
3. Configure DS1 boards and signal groups
etc etc.

I have one line working already from the past (was setup by someone else) that I can just copy the settings from. But I keep coming across new items (like the signaling groups) that I didn't know about, so I'm wondering what else I'm missing.

Thanks.

Are you planning on running DCS(+)& UDP, AAR codes or TAC over to the other systems?

Here are the bascis
1 Administer DS1 boards (I would run ISDN) Everything should match on the DS1 form on both sides (other than line compensation if needed)

2)Create trunk group

3)Create Signaling group (If ISDN)

4)Assign members to trunk

5)Create route pattern to route to trunk strip off AAR didgits (Not needed if you will only be using TAC)

6) Create AAR code, route pattern should be the new patter you created, set call type to AAR

If you need info on UDP and DCS+ (4/5 digit dialing I'm sure there are threads out here on it. If not let me know and I can walk you through that too.
