Currently I have my remote users connecting there Cisco software IPsec VPN client to our Cisco 2811 router that is configured to accept those connections. In my configuration I have a isakmp client configuration group that has the address pool option configured to use a local ip pool. What I want to know is if it's possible to configure the router to forward those DHCP request to my internal DHCP server for my software IPsec VPN clients. If someone can provide some insist on this topic to let me know if it can be done and how it's done or it can't be done. The reason I am asking this is because on another site we used a VPN concentrator that forwards these request to my other internal DHCP server for my clients for that site and I am wondering if a IOS router can do the same.

Thanks and if anyone needs additional information I can provide.

I believe what you need is the IP helper-address command. This will enable broadcasts such as DHCP to be sent to your DHCP server at the address you specify.

There is an amusing if not informative article at about it.

Thank you for your suggestion but that won't work for my scenario. My router is Easy VPN Server and my group policy is configured to use a local pool of IP address using the pool command for my group policy. I was hopping that I can somehow get to point to my internal DHCP server. But the more I read I don't think I can. I thought I might be able to create a ip dhcp pool and then have that pool point to my internal dhcp server but it doesn't seem possible.
