Hello everyone,

Has anyone a solution for a phones that are in noisey locations. The customer gets noisey pages when someone pages from the plant floor, but it works perfectly when the page is from reception in the office. I seem to remember confidencer handsets for Norstar phones but that was several years ago now.

An alternate solution would be wlcome as well.

Thanks,

Rob

I had a customer with the exact same problem and scenario, it was only pages from the warehouse phones that sounded distorted. What worked for this customer in my situation was a noise canceling handset with a volume control, once the original handsets were changed ALL pages from warehouse phones sounded just as good as the pages from office phones. I hope this helps.

Thanks Roland,

Were these Nortel handsets or made by another supplier to fit Norstar sets. The sets in question are M7100 wall mounted. So the handsets will have to hook securely.

Thanks again,

Rob

There is a post from a couple of days ago, I think the heading is noisey location handsets. Might find some info in that post. These are the part numbers for noisey location handsets for M series phones.

NT0C09NL-35 Ash
NT0C09NL-93 Gray
NT0C09NL-03 Black

Hope the part numbers help.

I can't tell you for sure if they were Nortel handsets or not, but they did look exactly the same except that they had a volume control on them. I can tell you where I purchased them, if you like.

I would like to know where the handsets can be purchased. The post previous to yours has some part numbers that I will try and find as well.

Thanks for the help,

Rob

rstar,

I'm not sure what part of the world you're in but the handsets I purchased were from a company called Comatrix they are located in California and have a location in Florida as well. I hope this helps you out.

Hi everyone,

We have ordered a handset to try out.

Thanks to everyone for the help.
