Whats the easisest way to set up conferencing? I have VM Pro, but I dont have conf licenses or software....i dont think we need it do we? 4.2.11 IPO 500

Easiest way is to make a shortcode say *98 with feature Conference meet me, Tel number 5555 (or anything) and then either point an incoming call route to that code or have people be transferred to it by the receptionist.

For added security you could make a Menu in Vm Pro with your own Touch tone sequence added connected to a transfer action to the shortcode you created, so people dialling in have to know the sequence to join the conference. FYI in the shortcode Tel number field can even be "CONF" instead of a number.

How would i go about doing this in VM Pro? Do i have to point the incoming call route to the shortcode?
Then create a module?
Sorry, new still./

You don't need the module at all if you dont want it, you just create the shortcode and either tranfer calls to it or point an Incoming call route to it. If you do want to go via a menu 1) Open VM Pro client in modules right click and select add and name it Conf or whatever (2) Put a Menu in the new module and in the Touch tones section click the green cross (add) and add the PIN number you want say 7756 also select timeout and invalid entry (3) Drop a transfer action into the module to send them to your shortcode and point the invalid and timeout to either another tranfer to reception or a prompt and disconnect (4) Save and make live (5) In Manager, point an Incoming call route to VM:Conf (or what you named it). That should be you.

You the man, so easy to do! Although, I must say I was somewhat stumped when i was pointing the transfer in VM pro to the SC. It wont transfer to *60 which is what i had the shorcode set up as, as soon as i switched it to a number,( the SC) it worked flawlessly.

thanks Again

use an assisted transfer

normal transfers wont work in vm pro

arsene knows......

everything. apart from the importance of depth in a squad. and what a chequebook looks like......

well it works this way too, so i really dont care, although that is good to know.
