I guess what I'm trying to ask is, if there is a way for multiple people on the network to listen in on a call simultaneously. Not so much as connecting two outside calls as in a three-way call.
I never used it, but there is an auto privacy feature (Feature 83) that might work for you. According to the manual, You conyrol it in the config programming under Trk/Line Data; Line Data. Its default is Y(on), but it needs to be changed to N(off) for this to work.
Perhaps what you need is the 'Group Listen' feature, which allows a user to use the handset while both sides of the conversation come through the speaker on the set. The mic is disabled, so background noise is not an issue, but the group of people listening cannot participate directly in the call. Group Listen is F802 to activate & F#802 to de-activate.
And try to keep the handset protected from the set speaker to prevent feedback.
Smart ass LMAO!
Imagine your talking to somebody on your phone with the hanset as normal but instead everyone in your office can hear the whole conversation thru the speaker on your set...the caller would not know this because they here you tlaking to them from your handset and not thru the mic(handsfree).
I dont think still thats what your after but you can conference with two people inside your office with one person outside but no more...but the person you conference with inside can now conference you and out side person with another internal person and then they can do the same etc but not sure how many conferences allowed at once right at the moment.
If you want others to listen in on the call from other phones, you can suspend the Auto Privacy feature for that call (F83). Others can then pick up and listen in on the call from other phones. The lines will need to appear on all the required sets. If the others are only to listen they should mute their set to reduce background noise.
