Hi all:

We have an NEC 2400 ICS in our office and the conferencing does not work well on it.

I have tried to turn up the pad on the trunk groups but it has no affect.

The trunks we have are analog DID and Ground Start, But when you do a conference the volume is low. Is there anything I can do to make this work? If not we will have to replace it.

Thanks
Ken

Convert to a T1 (digital all the way into the PBX) and you probably won't have any issue. Any PBX will probably have the same problem if you're using analog/copper trunks.

Looks like the analog trunks to me as wel, but you say youturned up the PAD - do you mean taking it off? What are the settings that you have the PAD on now? I have had to deal with a lot of volume issues with the 8-party conf cards and the card itself hasn't really been a problem, but the analog lines definitely decrease the volume and quality of the call.
