We have a customer using MCD 5.0 SP2 and they have 2 x 5550 Consoles.

They have some conference rooms and are looking for a manner in which a user inside the conference room can dial a code on
the conference room phone so that the console users now that the room is in use.

I thought about using Maid status codes for Occupied and room clean but the console can only see this by checking the rooms status .
I was hoping for something that would show on the BLF .

I also tried advisory messages via the super key but these are cumbersome to set and also only display when the console is calling the extension .
Does anyone have any ideas ?

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

yeah , I know ,
They were hoping for something more tech and using the phone system

A telephone system allows one person to talk to another ,are you sure this is a telephony feature ?

It may have to , I cant find anything else that will show in the BLF

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

The only other things I can think of that will trigger BLF is Call forwarding or hotdesk user logged out

Don't think there is a way from the console BLF. Got UCA?

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

Sorry, I never use consoles. I assumed they would see BLF the same as an IP handset.
