We recently purchased the NTAB4213 Norstar Audio Conferencing Unit. The piece of paper that came with it says for programming: assign 2 intercom lines to the unit, the prime line is intercom, handsfree answer back as no. All I have done to the best of knowledge.

I have the line assignments as line one appear/ring, line two as appear/ring. The Line pool is set to A.the prime line is set to I/C, Intercom Keys:1. We can receive calls from both lines, and answer them. We cannot dial calls out. All documentation for this phone says we should just pick up the phone and dial out. I tried dialing 9 first, as well as all other numbers, 1, 2, but no luck. We are using Compact ICS 7.1 as well as Call Pilot. Any help would much appreciated.

Do not assign lines 1 & 2 to it, assign 2 "intercom" lines to it. It needs 2 intercom lines to use to conf function.

Thank you for the reply. How do you assign an intercom line to it?I have not seen that option when accessing that extension for programming.I have looked through the document for the Compact ICS 7.1, but do not see an option for intercom lines.

Terminals & Sets - Ext - next - line assign - next - line pool access - next - prime line - next - intercom keys - 0,1,2,3ect....

You will need to dial 9, the pool access code or dest code depending how you have outside dialing set up on your system and just the internal Ext. numbers inside.

Thanks Splic3d and norstarboy125! What I found was that my access code for line pool A and external were both set to 9. Once I changed the access code for line pool A to 5, the phone was off and running!
