Have a CS1000 pbx and im needing a multi line set that is excellent for conference calls using the speaker phone. Right now im using the M2616 and I have users that are not happy with the performance. I think the man reason is when your using the speakerphone and both parties are talking at the same time it cancels each other out, which I believe is just the nature of the beast. Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

Why a multi line set? Polycom makes very good analog speakerphones. Probably the best in the business. They also make an IP version if that helps.

The 2033 IP conference phone works good if your system is IP enabled.

They also have a digital solution for a Nortel PBX. Check out their website. Lots of good info on there.

It has to be a multi line phone because the users dont want an additional phone to their desk phone in their office (yea welcome to my world) thanks

Your M2616 is "half duplex" - i.e. only one party can talk at a time. Think of a walkie-talkie.

To get something which is not "half duplex", you could upgrade to an M39xx digital phone plus Full-Duplex Handsfree unit. You could also deploy an IP Deskphone.

Nortel IP deskphones are only full duplex in an IP phone to IP phone call. Otherwise they are half duplex as well.

It's a phone system, NOT a clock!
