conference g729

Hi.
I have a cluster of Call Manager 4.1.3 with phone and region configured on g711.
I know that the conference it only works with the codec g711.
If we have a pool of phone in g729, for the conference, I nedd to create a DSP farm.

But if we have all the region in g729, for the conference, I have always need to create a DSP farm? Or is there a cheaper solution?

See my thread G729 Conferencing. You will need to setup hardware transcoding...no way around this from all my research.

There was another option I was looking at and that was replacing all my legacy CMs with the latest HW for CCM 7.x...this was, unfortunately, not an option for me.
