Conference does not work

When trying to conference pushing the conference button and it tells me to push the call on hold it gives back that the conference is busy. So this is on interal phones also ext to ext as well as outside to inside.

Can this be fixed?

how many intercoms do you have on the extension?

Senks is on the right track. You'll need to have at least 2 intercom keys for conference to work, unless you're trying to conference in a party on a line that has an appearance on your phone.

Well I looked and there is 2 lines or intercoms. I was told that it did work at one time, but do not know when it stopped working. I do know that this system has been upgraded to 3.7. Is it possible that a Keycode/option has been drop? I would think that that would be a given in the system.

Have you verified the buttons on the phone by using F*0 and hitting each button.

Yes I did I even tried feature 3. I also tried to just conference from ext to ext to make sue it was not a telco problem.

Now don't get mad when I ask this question. Your talking to someone on 1 intercom you hit conf/trnsf then get dialtone? YES/NO?

No I have to hit the other conference button to get dial tone.

When you say other Conf button, do you mean the soft button under the display?

No the button down the side. There is nothing displayed.

Here what I do: Either rec/place call press conf place call on hold dial number when call is connected the display says press the call on hold. Then the display says conf busy.

Try this
make call, hit F3 hit another intercom line make call, when they answer hit F3 again then the 1st line. conf is complete.

If your using the conf key use it instead of F3.

This works on my system.

Well that does not work either. I still get conf busy.
Anyone with any other Ideas. I am beginning to think that possible up grade left out conf.
