Conference Chip in 412 unit

I have identified a bad chip on a 412 unit. I believe the 412 unit has 2 conf chips. Is there a way to disable one that anyone can think of? Second unit in less then 2 years w/ bad conf chip. Not cool at all.

Figure it out damn-it!
