Has anybody got a list of things that uses up conference channels?

Conference, call listen etc

I can't find if they are used for anything other than conferencing, call intrude and call recording? Is this all they are used for or is there anything else?

Conference Channels
The number of channels available for conference members (parties) varies with the IP Office control unit type. These channels are used for conference calls and for features such as call intrusion and call recording.

^^^ From knowledge base.

Apparently call recording can use them. Anybody know of any others? Have a customer that is having these constantly fill up just trying to cover all angles to test on.

Thanks

We have been, they only use it for call intrude. It seems to cause a buildup over the course of the week of the channels getting more and more in use; a reboot generally clears this but then it starts all over again.

Seems to be getting worse as well. Some phones seem to be taking up a conference channel and when we intrude in on them there'll be three or so.

Want to test anything else that takes up a channel to see if its having the same effect. Changed the system, bumped in a fresh config etc

Nothing seems to be clearing it.

Conference center allocates a permanent chunk of channels. Is this your issue. Do you have a conf center license?

It's people like you who generalize.
