If I am on a conference call and someone dials my extension, shouldn't that "non-conference" call follow my forwarding and go to my voice mail box?

I have a BCM400 v4.0 it is networked via voip trunks to other bcm50's, i have PRI for incoming and outgoing calls, i also have a did# ringing my phone via a target line.

In a conference you are probably tying up both INTERCOM appearances and the third call to your phone gets a busy signal.

On the 450 If they have voicemail I just assign the PRIME for the set as the VM DN.

TRY---On the 400, If you assign the PRIME as the VM DN for that set's Target Line Programming.

Yes, if you are on a conference call, the caller should be re-directed to your voicemail, if it is set up to do that forwarding.

Well what is happening to the caller?
Where is a caller going?

There is a Forward on Busy, which should be pointed to the DN of the VM.
