HI all,

I've got a Linksys PAP2T set up in my lab with an analogue phone working off it.

It kinda works apart from the following:

When i dial another extension (i.e. 2003) if i don't press # to terminate there is a 10 sec delay before dialling. Any ideas?

I want to be able to set up a conference call from the analogue phone attached to the Linksys but i can't quite get there. I make the first call, flash the hook which puts the call on hold, dial the second number and that rings ok. Now how do i join??? i dial the FAC for Conference but nothing happens. Any ideas?

Any help will be graetly appreciated

Matt

Are you waiting for the second party to answer and then flashing again before dialing the FAC?

this sounds to interdigit timer in your ata. try to go to any dial plan to define the dialing strings lengh.

hope this help you

The Conference feature on analog requires that you flash once connected to the second party (or third if you count yourself)and then dial the FAC for conference.

If you find that you just bounce between the 2 calls and dont actually join, you will need to disable COS option associated with call waiting.

The 10 Second delay sounds like ARS timeout. If you are dialing an ARS entry, make sure it is either fully qualified with zero digits to follow or define the correct number of digits to follow. Unknown will create the delay.

Hi All

Thanks for the responses.

Tonylion, i'll have a look at the dial plan in the ATA, but it's all one string, i'll post it and see what you think.

KWBMITEL, i flash the switchhook after connecting the first call, make the second call which works fine, when i hit the flash again, it puts both calls on hold but when i dial the FAC it sounds like engaged tone.

Any ideas?

Here is the dial plan, can anyone point out when i can change it to 4 digits?

(*xx|[3469]11|0|00|[2-9]xxxxxx|1xxx[2-9]xxxxxxS0|xxxxxxxxxxxx.)

Don't worry guys i sorted it!

Found a great website that talked you through dial plans on linksys!

The one that works for me is:

([2]xxxS0|[9]x.|*xx)

This means any with 2 followed by 3 digits send straight out (extension numbers on 3300). Plus 9 followed by any number of digits. The last bit *xx allows sending star codes which now makes the conference call work!
