Hi

We want to make joining conference calls easy and not enter a PIN just the bridge number (easy enough!)
However they want to give the moderator a different bridge numbers to the participant to join the conference.

This works if I change the validate bridge specific to specific and enter a bridge number, and in the transfer action put in the conference bridge number in rather then 2$CP0 etc.

As I need to create this for 50+ bridges, I rather not create 50 module and hoping I can do this just using one, is there a way of doing this?

Thanks

Been testing with the above guide links.

I can get most of what we require working when using just the system short codes.

When I'm using s single voicemail pro module,I can get the moderator side to work as this is just entering the extension number.
But we would like the participant code to be different even if it prefixing the extension number (as an example internal extension number are 5XXX and prefixing with 2XXXX) just like the short code)

I'm using the below flow

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi

Just wondering if anyone is able to help with the above or any suggestion please?

Thanks

Can you restate your goal?
give the moderator a different bridge numbers to the participant to join the conference
You want the participants to dial conference ID 2500 to join, but have the moderator dial conference ID 500 (and the correct PIN) to open up the conference?

Yes we want the participant conference ID different to the moderator ID

But only use a single voicemail pro module, we need to create 50+ different conference bridges.

Thanks

I see you're using Kyle's module as a basis, but you've modified it so that even participants must enter the PIN to join, which is different from your original post where you state "We want to make joining conference calls easy and not enter a PIN just the bridge number"

What you've forgotten is you need to differentiate between the Moderator and a Participant, as the transfer action is different between the two. Here's what you need if you want to build on your current module:
I've replaced the "Store Bridge" action (which took $KEY and assigned its value to $CP0) and replaced it with a String Manipulation to store the last 3 digits if $KEY in $CP0. So lets say your Moderator is Ext. 500, and you tell your participants to to call in and join conference 2500. Participants dial 2500, $CP0 = 500, goes through the steps to validate the PIN for conference 500, and transfers if valid. Moderator first dial ** and then 500, dials the PIN, and transfers as moderator if valid

Now if you want to eliminate the participant needing to input a PIN, just go from Validate Bridge to Transfer Participant. If you want the Participant to need the PIN, but not the Moderator, keep the PIN validation on the participants, but jump from Validate Mod Bridge to Transfer Moderator

I can post the actual module if you want

Thank you very much, very grateful for your help with this.

A moment of respect for Kyle too. Kyle was one of our best and sadly passed a few years ago. Actually 6 now. Permanently stuck in the MVP hall of fame.
A very patient dude to all comers. Good to see his work living on and still being used. So often in this industry the work you do today is obsolete in December.
