Hello All,

I know for the fact I can conference people from my phone (Not sure what's the maximum for Mitel 5312/5212 phones ?)

Also, can I have an option for creating a bridge id and let users join the bridge on a scheduled time ? Can this be done ? If yes, can you list the steps involved ?

Thanks

MCD will support up to a maximum of 8 parties in a conference.
( system options)
for More than that you need something like MCA

UC360 will support 4 simultaneous calls per UC360

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

As Billz66 says the max is 8. You can setup the sytem for a number from 1 to 8 and can determine how many parties are internal users versus external parties. Again as Billz66 says you want the Mitel MCA product to do more advanced conferencing.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

Thanks Billz and Lou !!! Looks like I can add manually add people to conference call from my phone which is great.

But just making sure, I have MCD 3300, does that mean I can't create a conference bridge number and let users join as and when it is required ??

Apologize for being dumb but just making sure abt things MCD 3300 can do for me.

Correct. The 3300 does not support that kind of conference. Only the seperate MCA application does.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

Just a side note.
When you add people to the conference from your phone, the bridge is actually created on the controller using its DSP (Digital Signal Processor) resources. That means it does not matter what kind of phone you use. And you can also drop out from the conference, but already connected parties will remain the conference session.
