We have a client who continues to reach a conference max of 6 parties. They are currently running on an IP403 build 3.0.40. The problem has existed since the PBX's first inception at build 2.1.15. Upgrades to 2.1.27, 2.1.31, and 3.0.40 have not resolved this issue.

We're working with Avaya at this point but I'd like to put the question out there - Have any of you seen these characterstics in the field and might you have any suggestions for resolution?

Is this limit reached by using the conference center software or when trying to manualy creat the Conference on the handset?

My gut feeling is that you have a hardware problem & the conferenceing circuit in the IPO is broken

The limit is reached via both conference center software adn when attempting via handset.

It's now being escalated to Tier 4 @ Avaya, with the option for hardware replacement. I'm going to wait and see what Tier 4 says as I'm kind of curious, but with our client's config Avaya was not able to recreate the problem on like hardware.

I would treat the fact that the problem cannot be recreated as confirmation of a hardware problem

Insist that the IP 403 is replaced
