What does the following configuration line mean?

pdm location 111.111.111.0 255.255.255.0 outside

Is this line added by the Pdm GUI ?

Thanks

It's an internal PDM command. Associates an interface with an IP address on which PDM resides.

There are over 40 of these lines refering to different hosts and subnets in the conf. How are these lines generated. Thanks

Depends on how PDM was configured, manually or via the autoinstall. It basically tells PDM who is allowed to use PDM. It can be a network or a host address.

For example: pdm location 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0

This means that the inside network 192.168.1.0 would be able to use PDM. Kinda like the telnet command.

HI.

The "pdm location ..." commands correspond to the "Hosts and Networks" tab in PDM and are generated by PDM.

These commands have no direct effect on the pix rules, but you should not modify them because they are used by PDM.

The "http ..." command is used to define who can access PDM.

Bye
