I have 2 Cisco WS-C2950C-24 port switches. Can I link both together using the fiber ports? currently I have them connected across the front with copper.

If I can patch them across with Fiber, is there any paticular type of fibre patchlead that I need?

I am totally new to Network hardware and don't even know the type of connectors - perhaps someone could help with that too!

Would this increase performance alot?

This is a link showing the picture of the units I have -

Hi there

Yes you can patch these switches together using the fibre ports.
The patchlead you need for this will be an MTRJ - MTRJ lead, which basically has an MTRJ connector at each end.
I have personally linked these switches together using this method.

Hope this helps
