I've got a report which indicates county names and the number of records that were recorded in each county. I want to be able to drill down into that data, and have that data displayed with a totally different detail line and headers.

I split the details section in two, and put the drill down fields in detail section B. Similarly, I split the header and put the headers in Group Header B. (We are grouped on county.)

So, when I have not drilled down I want only Group Header A and Details A to show. When I drill down I want those sections gone, and GH-B and Details-B to display.

I assume I do this in the section expert, putting in a formula. What is the easiest criteria to use to conditionally suppress these sections?

Thanks.

Use the function

drilldowngrouplevel

Place this in a formula and the place on report in area you are interested in

See what number is returned, eg 2

Then in section expert suppression enter

drilldowngrouplevel <> 2

This section will only appear when you get to that drill down level.
