Conditionally Printing Objects

Create a parameter field with default values of V-View and P-Print. Then conditionally suppress the object based on the value of the parameter. Software Training and Support for Macola, Crystal Reports and Goldmine

Guess I'm not understanding completely or I didn't specify my question clearly. Are 'V-View' and 'P-Print' reserved internal print-state variables? I have text on some of my reports that guide the user while in the viewer that I don't want to actually have appear on the printed version should the user decide to print it from the viewer. I *think* what you're suggesting is prompting the user as to whether to view the report or print it. I'm kind of looking to automatically view it first and then conditionally print some objects of it should the user hit the print button. Hope that's clearer! Thanks! : )

Right, you can't conditionally print from within a viewer.
The best option is as dgillz described which prompts at parameter collection time.

You are right on, this is for user interaction and they would indicate if they are printing or viewing, and teh objects would be displayed accordingly. Software Training and Support for Macola, Crystal Reports and Goldmine
