The EASY part:
I need to create a report that page breaks for each company. This is easy as I just group by Company and force a page break after the group footer.

The DIFFICULT part:
At each break, I need a message at the foot of the last page for each company. Putting the message in the group footer is no use as I can't control where the footer will appear on the page. I have put the message in the page footer but cannot get it to print only when the group changes.

ANY IDEAS??

In the page footer, format the field you want to print at the end of the group using a conditional supression of:

if {company name}= next ({company name}) then true

mbaron,

Doh! 'could see the woods for the trees' must be having a bad day.

Thanks a lot

Bill

OR...you can put your message in the Group footer and supress the Page footer

The in the section editor for the Group footer, check the box that says something like "Print at the bottom of the page"

then it looks like the page footer :)
