Is there a way to conditionally suppress a field (ID) in a report if it is exported to PDF? This field would normally show when printed.

Since exporting is not performed until after the report is previewe, which is the same as printed, it is just printed to the screen, I do not believe this is possible.

However, if you know in advance that you will be exporting to .pdf, you can create a parameter field that prompts you for exporting options, and then conditionally suppress the fields in question based on the parameter value. Software Training and Support for Macola, Crystal Reports and Goldmine

Thanks. I did think of the parameter solution and that's probably the way. I was hoping it would be easier since I have a lot of reports to apply this to.
