In a report I have some blank section which is there if the value of a field is "Group C". I want to suppress this blank section only when the value of that field is "Group C". How can I do that?

There is a group on that field.

I tried in section expert - suppress blank section - formula - field_value= "Group C" but it did not work.

Thanks for your help,

Try

uppercase(Trim({table.field})) = "GROUP C

it does not work. Actually I have a formula and GROUP A,B,C,D are derived based upon some table field values.

I tried using trim but it does not work.

Thanks,

What about a formula to suppress the section if it is group C?

Right-click on the detail section and choose Format Section. Then choose the formula icon (x+2 and a pencil) for suppression. Enter a suitable formula.

If the formual gives trouble, copy it to a formula field and diplay it beside the data, to see what it's actually giving.

I tried with formula. The formula show true if value is GROUP C but the blank section is still not suppressed.

Thanks

Thanks Madawc I saw your reply to other question and I created a section below my group header and suppressed that section completely if the value was GROUP C. It works!!!

Though Suppress blank section in the group header did not work.

Thanks,
