hello

In an invoice report, I have in the header the company logo and address.
We mail the invoice from the view option, the header should then be visible also in the pdf that will be send to the customer.
But when we send the invoice on the traditional way with the post, the invoice will be print on the company paper with company logo and then the header should not be printed. Which formula make this possible for conditional suppress?

Dan

I suggest you create a parameter, giving the two modes as alternative options. Have separate sections to cover the elements that are not commaon

Right-click on the section and choose Format Section. Then choose the formula icon (x+2 and a pencil) for suppression.
Enter a parameter test.

I was also thinking in that direction, but which formula should I use for this?

Dan

Hi,
As Madawc said create a parameter.
Right click on the header section(Where ever the LOGO is) select section expert, click on the formula icon(x+2) use this formula.

{?your_parameter} = 'POST'

When you enter "POST" as input value for your parameter, it will suppress that section, PIck some other value like "PRINT", then it should show the HEADER in the report.

I understand and I have tested it.
With this solution you get before the lay-out screen the screen where you must fill the parameter.
Is it possible in a different way, so you do not get a parameter screen? I mean another soltion without the parameter solution.

Dan

You can pre-set parameter values, depending on your Crystal version - 8, 8.5, 9, 10, 11 or whatever. But the Crystal can't know what you're going to do with it unless you tell it first.

thanks Madawc
it works fine with the parameter. I only get always the question: why another mouse click......
