Could someone please help with a conditional formatting situation. I am trying to highlight a cell with green for "On Time" and a red highlight for "Not On Time." I am using the formula listed below:

=IF(L8>0, "On Time","Not On Time")

I would like to add the red/green highlight to the output cell in which the formula was inserted. I could not locate anything in Xcel help to do that.

Thank you in advance,

JB

Hi JB,

You do this by selecting the cell then choosing Format|Conditional Formatting.

For what you're after, you'd format the cell as, say, green for "On Time", then use Format|Conditional Formatting and set Condition 1 to 'Formula is' and insert =L8>0 as the formula. Then click on Format|Patterns > Red, followed by OK|OK.

Cheers
