I have a report that prints summary totals by sales category by manager. I have a table that contains the goals for each manager by the same categories.

When the report prints the sales total for a category, I want to be able to print the goal for that category and the percentage towards goal.

The front end of the report is a summary query.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried adding the goal table to the report's record source and joining the manager and category fields?

Tks for the response.
My problem is not the join.

Here is the example
Manager 1
Category Count Goal
Electronics 42 50
Case Goods 50 75

The counts are the result of a query that summarizes the sales. The Goals are stored as discrete fields in the Manager record. There are only five categories.

My problem is to get the appropriate goal to print on the line that is associated with the category.

Again

The sample you provided wasn't from a datasheet so I can't determine the fields in either your recordsource or in the table storing the goals. I am beginning to think you have committed spreadsheet with your goals but can't be certain.

Can you share your table structures?
