Hey Tech-Tips,

Hope everyone is keeping well.

I have a project on the go to introduce a virtual receptionist. Currently we've got all the details and there is just one thing I need to clarify before proceeding with the install.

When we press the contact card for any specific user the virtual receptionist will call the end users desk phone and simultaneously open a window on the computer to view who is at the front door. Essentially I want to have any calls coming from the SIP extension of the Kiosk (say 301) to be forwarded on no answer to a hunt group that includes 3 customer service reps. BUT, the forward can only be active for calls coming from this specific extension.

Pretty sure it's possible just not sure how.

Any ideas?

No. I don't understand.
Extension 301 dials a number ( what number ) and if tat target is busy/no answer you want it to go to a group?
Is that the idea? Then no. Not without a VM Pro in between.

Customer has IP Office 500v2 8.1 w/ VM Pro.

When a call comes from extension 301 (door phone/Virtual receptionist) to another internal extension I want that call to be forwarded on no answer to a group of customer service reps. but I only want that forward to happen when this specific extension (301) is the originator of the call.

Make sense?

You will need a group for each user with only that user in that then overflows onwards to the rep group, target the group from the virtual receptionist not the user, done :)
