I have a spreadsheet that calculates payments. On the worksheet I have 3 columns 'Bid', 'awarded' and 'refused'. At the top of the worksheet there is a cell that calculates the sum total of the payments pending, 'Total Pending'.

I want it to add up the 'Bids' in all those rows where there is a value in the 'Bid' column, but no values in 'Awarded' or 'refused' (which denotes that the payment is still pending). Then as soon as I enter a value in one of 'Awarded' or 'Refused' (to say its no longer pending), I want the Total Pending formula to ignore the 'Bid' value becasue it is no longer pending.

So I basically need some help with my formula for the 'Total Pending' cell!

Hope that makes sense

Thanks in advance

Dave

How about something similar to:
Code:
=SUMPRODUCT((awarded_range="")*(refused_range="")*(Bid_range))

WE HAVE A WINNER!!!

Nice one Gleen, works perfectly. If I didn't have a restraining order on me, I'd come and find you and buy you a Baileys and Cherryade.

Cheers

Ha ha, I'd prefer a pint of Bitter And Twisted ( named after my ex ).

Glad that worked for you. :-D

Cheers, Glenn.
