I have a column with a user-defined function =FEE(FeeSchedule,MarketValue,Discount)

If the calculation returns zero, the user will input a number manually.

I want to be able to identify where the user has typed over the fee function formula.

I am unable to conditionally format a cell that references another file (.xla).

Any ideas on how I might be able to tell if a user has input over the formula?

Could you have the user type the number into a different cell and then conditionally format that cell?
