I am trying to make a sheet with alternating row colors in open office. The way I accomplished this was

Format->Styles and Formatting-> Add New

Named that new format "blue" and then modified that format to have blue background.

Then I went to Format-> Conditional Formatting->

Where I put in a formula

Cell value is -- equal to -- ISEVEN(ROW())
Cell Style "blue"

Clicked ok and my sheet is nicely formatting with alternating blue and no fill rows. BUT.....

Now when I type in any cell on a blue row the cell goes back to no fill background for some reason. Is there a way to make that blue format persist even after I type?
