I am trying to get certain rows in the datasheet view to get a green highlight, depending on a checkbox. Working with access 2007

In design view I select all the textboxes and set condition 1 of the the conditional formatting with a different font and cell color and "expression is" like this:

[Forms]![Main Form]![chk_CaseClosed]=True

"Main Form" is the name of the form and "chk_CaseClosed" is the name of the checkbox that determines whether a row should be green.

This doesn't work. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

How are ya svdoerga . . .

Try:
Code:
[blue][chk_CaseClosed]=True[/blue]

Hey TheAceMan1,

Thanks for your reply. "[chk_CaseClosed]=True" doesn't work either. I have tried a few simple conditional formatting settings, that use the cell value. Those work just fine. That makes me think there's something wrong with the expression.

Any other possibilities?

Are you talking Excel here?

Haha no not Excel, Access 2007. I guess 'cell' was a bad word choice. I had the datasheet in mind when I typed that. Of course I mean field value.

Check the [blue]name property[/blue] of chk_CaseClosed, in code this is the name thats used. If its the same then try constructing another form.

I haven't been able to get it working, but it doesn't matter now. The requirement to have conditional formatting has been dropped for the db-app I'm making.

Thanks for your replies TheAceMan1.
