Conditional Formatting of Numeric Fields

I'm trying to place either a '$' sign or append a '%' sign to numbers in a row base on the value of another field. I can conditionally get the '$' to display correctly using a formula, but have not found any way to conditionally append the '%' sign.
 
The % is really another currency symbol, but put on the other side. Both the character used, and the position are conditionally controlled in CR Ken Hamady, On-site/Phone Crystal Reports Training/Consulting
