Hello

I'm in a new job which uses Excel 2010 which I've not used for a while and I'm having a bother with conditional formatting.

F6 contains a value, say -2456.55, when the cell contains a negative then I want it in red text, plus values remain in black.

That bit works, I have a rule to turn it red. But I also want C6, D6 and E6 which contain text and dates to also be highlighted red.

That's where I'm stuck.

I can't see where I can do this.

thank you!

Hi,

Before opening the CF Wizzard, SELECT ALL the data (rows & columns) that you want to CF.

Open the CF Wizzard

Change your formula to make F6 ABSOLUTE to the column (I assume that row 6 is the top row of data to format; otherwise change the row reference accordingly)

=$F6<0

Vola, y'all!

Skip,

[glasses]Just traded in my OLD subtlety...
for a NUance![tongue]

Great - thank you!

Now why didn't I think of that???

Have a good weekend.
