Conditional formatting a calculated field...doesn't work?

On a subform I have two fields which I want to format so that the numbers turn red when the value of the field is less than 0. One of the fields is in the form header and it's control source is from the query. The conditional formatting for this first field works fine. The other field is a calculated field in the form footer, and the conditional formatting won't take.

The differences between the fields are that one is in the header and the other in the footer; and that one field displays a stored value and the other displays a calculation.

Any ideas? Thank you for your attention!

Try putting the conditional formatting in the onchange event.
You may need a me.repaint as well.

Thanks for the tip...I'll see if I can make that work.
